Haxial Software released a public beta of KDX Client in 2001. It went through several revisions, eventually ending with version 1600 in September of 2004. Since then, there have been several promises of "KDX 2", a complete rewrite of the software including a new programming language. Some alpha versions of the language were released, but not much of substance, and certainly nothing of release quality.
At some point between July 1 and August 3 of 2009, Haxial formally announced that it had ceased all operations and was no longer selling KDX.
